Wikileaks: Publishing leaks of sensitive government and corporate data

Wikileaks

Wikileaks is a website that publishes anonymous submissions and leaks of sensitive governmental, corporate, or religious documents, while attempting to preserve the anonymity and untraceability of its contributors. Within one year of its December 2006 launch, its database had grown to more than 1.2 million documents.

Wang Dan, a leader of the Chinese democracy movement, was one of the most visible of the student leaders in the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. Wang Dan is on the Advisory Board of Wikileaks.


It was Jefferson who said "I have no fear for liberty, so long as the press remains free." Part of that is the protection of the whistle blower.
